Career
Neil Armstrong started his career in 1955 as an experimental research test pilot, and he was later was pilot to such aircraft as: F-106 Delta, B-47 Starojet, etc. His career at NASA started in 1958 when he was selected for the U.S. Air Force's "Man in space soonest program". Neil did missions such as: Gemini 8, Gemini 11, and Apollo 11. Armstrong was the first man on the moon in 1969 for Apollo 11. He spent 21 hours and 36 minutes on the moon after 3 days on a spacecraft. Then he landed in the Pacific Ocean after another 3 days in space.
